The Brief
‘The Executive’ at Manchester Airport is the first Executive-tier lounge within CAVU’s Escape Lounges portfolio.
The vision was an elevated, unhurried airport experience for business and leisure travellers – with the aim to provide a superior space for up to 300 guests.
The Solution
Supporting CAVU and Jacobs’ interior design vision, Rainbow supplied bespoke, adapted, and high-quality furniture for the different settings throughout The Executive lounge.
The furniture package helped create a balance of dining, working and relaxation areas, giving passengers greater choice over how they used their time in the lounge. The completed space includes hexagonal window booths overlooking the runway, padded work pods, informal lounge seating and structured dining settings.
Seating was combined with integrated lighting and tables to create comfortable settings where individuals and groups could relax or work.
The furniture also supports the lounge’s wider emphasis on connected travel. Charging is available at 80% of seats, allowing guests to work or use their devices without having to compromise on where they sit.
Summary
The Executive airport lounge successfully opened, on time, in July 2026. Bringing a distinct combination of panoramic runway views, premium hospitality and Manchester-inspired interiors. It is truly a space that caters to the varied needs of modern passengers while offering a memorable and unhurried start to their journey.
