In 2022, Cadent, a leading energy distribution company, sought a new regional headquarters building on the outskirts of Coventry. Sustainability and environmental considerations were of paramount importance in their decision-making process. They aimed to achieve a BREEAM “Very Good” rating for the project and had strict criteria for suppliers, including a maximum 100-mile radius for sourcing and a focus on products from UK manufacturers with excellent environmental credentials.
To meet Cadent’s sustainability goals, the project team worked closely with suppliers who met the stringent criteria. All suppliers were selected based on their proximity to the site, with a maximum radius of 100 miles, ensuring reduced transportation emissions and supporting local businesses. Additionally, all products used in the construction had to be from UK manufacturers with strong environmental credentials, promoting sustainability and reducing the project’s carbon footprint.
Resonate Interiors, a renowned design firm, was engaged to create a cutting-edge office space that incorporated agile working principles while adhering to sustainability goals. The resulting design was a modern, functional, and visually appealing office space that promoted collaboration, productivity, and employee well-being.
